Green River

The Green River runs through a diversity of country in Wyoming. There are quite a few public access points to the river. Be sure to pick up a current Wyoming fishing regulations book, or check locally for regs.

near Green River Lake

  • Go north on WY 352 from Daniel for 36 to 39 miles. Access in Bridger/Teton NF
  • Fish: R, B, C, Br, MW
  • Facilities:  Camp

Above Warren Bridge

  • Go west and north from Pinedale on US Hwy 191 for 20 miles; turn east onto dirt road and follow to access; 12 miles of access upstream from Warren Bridge
  • Fish: B, Br, R, MW
  • Facilities: Camp

Warren Bridge

  • Go west and north from Pinedale on US Hwy 191 for 24 miles to point where highway crosses the Green River; 12 miles of access upstream from Warren Bridge
  • Fish: B, Br, R, MW
  • Facilities: T, Camp

Daniel

  • Go north from Daniel Junction on US 191 to Pape Rd; turn west (signed Daniel Hatchery) and follow to access; 2 miles of river access
  • Fish: B, Br, R, MW
  • Facilities: T, Camp

Above New Fork Road

  • Go north from Big Piney on US 189 for 4 miles; turn east on Hwy 351 and travel 5 miles; turn south to Green River access; including following dirt road for 4 miles
  • Fish: B, Br, R, MW
  • Facilities: Camp

S. Big Piney

  • Go south from Big Piney on US 189 for 5 miles; turn east and drive 4 miles to Green River access
  • Fish: B, R, MW
  • Facilities: Camp

Long Island

  • Go south from Big Piney on US 189 for 8 miles; turn east and drive 0.5 miles to Green River access
  • Fish:B, R, MW

La Barge

  • Go north from La Barge on US 189 for 0.5 miles; access on east side of river
  • Fish: B, R, C, MW

Below New Fork Road

  • Go south from La Barge on US 189 for 5 miles; river and access is next to the hwy
  • Fish: B, R, C, MW
  • Facilities: Camp

Northwest of Green River (town)

  • Travel on Hwy 372 northwest from Green River (the town). Access is along road and before junction with US Hwy 189. Access is available in Seedskadee Natl Wildlife Refuge
  • Fish: B, R, C, MW
  • Facilities: Camp, T

  • You can fish in the town of Green River at Expedition Island
