Sweetwater River

The Sweetwater River starts near South Pass and runs east, ending where it enters Pathfinder Reservoir. There is very little public access to the river east of Sweetwater Canyon, but the best fishing is probably to the west anyway. Be sure to pick up a current Wyoming fishing regulations book, or check locally for regs.

We have listed several access points - many are on private ranch lands with access leased by WG&F. Respect the rules for each access. Each are identified on the map.

Stream flow info can be found on our reports page.
